Sheffield Financial - Repo Due to not applying my payment
I was 15 days late on my Payment, So I called Sheffield to Pay more than what I owed. They Gladly took my money, The amount was then applied to principal, but not to my payment that was due?
Which makes no sense right? So tonight the Repo Company came to repo the machine I cooperated with them. Sheffield gave the repo company false information that I had 4 machines. So then the repo company insisted I return the machines, which I only have 1 machine The repo company threatened to show up with cops the following day I am very angry now.
Worst finance company!!! I will be giving Sheffield a call and they will pay for everything or I will sue!!!
Reason of review: Problems with payment.
Monetary Loss: $500.
Preferred solution: Let the company propose a solution.

Your payments are applied to the principal and toward your amount due. The two go hand in hand Sheffield does not pocket or take money from customers that they do not owe.
That would be fraudulent and be subject to penalties and federal sanctions. If you have multiple accounts it is YOUR responsibility to keep up with payments/ accounts , the account you paid for probably was not the account with a repo on it.
And yes if the account is not paid current then you will be subject to repossession for the account delinquent unfortunately thereโs little to nothing you can do in court but waste money due to being legally bound to the contract in which youโve signed. Lesson: pay your account on time
